severe weather later tonight. we could get some big thunderstorms rolling through. there is some patchy fog out there. it is not a widespread fog events. near 70 in southern maryland. a slight chance for a sprinkle today. strong thunderstorms are possible tonight. first we say good morning to kim. >> good morning. a bad situation is improving slightly on the capital beltway. you can see some backups from this big crash on the outer loop at 50. we have several lane closures and it is kind of a maess. expect some delays and traveling

south towards d.c. this morning. 60 southbound near padonia. 55 near harford road. things are moving find on the inner and outer loops. same story on the west side. the inner and outer loops are looking good. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> john leopold is suspended from his job as executive. >> he was convicted on two of the four misconduct charges he was facing. sarah sampson has more. >> the judge called leopold's conduct outrageous and beyond any authority he possessed.

he was convicted for using his detail for reelection campaign duties. leopold was found guilty on two counts. he forced county employees to do personal chores like making them empty his urine after back surgery. he was acquitted of a fraud charge that could've put him in jail. >> the conduct represented poor judgment. >> whenever you seek an indictment, you are seeking an indictment on all counts. -- a conviction on all counts. it was a difficult case. >> right now leopold is suspended. but later today, the county plans to introduce a measure to remove him from office permanently. john hammond is the acting county executive. sarah sampson, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. a mother is accused of murdering her baby girl.

medics responded to a home in joppa on tuesday for a report of a child in cardiac arrest. that child, salena baldero, died at a hospital. her mother, qucelia baldero, tried to kill herself. she will face faces of first- degree murder and child abuse. a teenager will be back in court today. attorneys are trying to move the case from adult to juvenile court. the 15-year-old could face a life sentence. >> the governor is making his speech more interactive. maryland residents can submit questions to members of the o'malley administration. you can see the speech live here at noon.

tuesday was the media day in a one-of-a-kind experience for nfl fans and reporters. jennifer franciotti was one of many supporters in attendance and joins us live from when the new orleans. you have the wind and the train. >> we have it all. i give up my hat. what a crazy experience. to walk over to a section where we could see the fans and have some security people say, "come

on over here." they help us reach the fans. we did not have access to those fans. media day, wow. the field was set. difference from when the ravens were there and when the 49ers' were there. the crowd cheered when the ravens took the field. was a new orleans fans who made sure i talk to him about being there on sunday. >> i am a baltimore ravens fan. this is a dream come true for me that my team is coming to the dome. i want everybody in baltimore to know this will be a ravens home

the outer loop of the capital beltway at route 50, we have a bad crash and there are closures on the inner and outer loops. watch for delays forming their as well. 55 on the west side of the baltimore beltway. both loops are moving just fine. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> john leopold has been suspended from office in. >> sarah sampson joins us in the studio with more on the story. >> later today the county council is planning to introduce a measure that would remove leopold for good. the judge called leopold's conduct outrageous and beyond any authority he possessed. john leopold did not have much to say. he was convicted on two counts

of misconduct in office. >> humbled by the decision. >> disappointed in the verdict. it has been our position from the outset that the he represented poor judgment as opposed to criminal conduct. >> leopold was acquitted of another misconduct charge and a fraud charge. the fraud charge could have put him in jail. he used his detail to force them to do personal chores, making them empty his urine bag after he had back surgery. prosecutors are pleased with the verdict. >> you are seeking a conviction on all counts. those were at two major counts. it was a difficult case. >> several former employees were in the courtroom. >> bullying is not illegal. a lot of people have been hurt.
